Mote Aquarium’s Penguin Island opened on Nov. 1 and has been an instant hit. Visitors are charmed and entertained by the waddling antics and loud calls of these six black-footed penguins in their specially built habitat. Don’t miss it – it is slated to close at the end of February, 2012.

Sly is an 8-year-old male born in 2003, He's marked with a blue band around his left wing.
South is 2-years-old (the youngest male) and has an orange band around his left wing.
Rudy is also 2-years-old (a month older than South), and has a green band around his left wing.
Coaster is almost the same age as Sly (born in 2003), and has a yellow band marked with an "S" around his left wing.
Oswald just turned three a few weeks back, and wears a yellow band marked with a "D" around his left wing.
Ninja is the sole female of the group -- and the youngest at just about a year old. She wears a green band with the letter "N" on her right wing. You can also identify her because she lacks the black band that goes across the chests of the males.
