Cigar City creates website for Hunahpu’s Day

/ Monday, January 23, 2012

Cigar City Brewing in Tampa makes a lot of in-demand beers. Perhaps the most heralded of which is Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout, an 11-percent monster brewed with cacao nibs, vanilla beans, chilies and cinnamon.

You can only buy bottles of Hunahpu’s at the brewery, and they only release it one day a year. They make a big festival of the event, and the third release, on March 10, will be a big one.

Cigar City is closing off their parking lot and will be bringing in a bunch of food trucks and live music for the occasion. They will be offering a bunch of their other beers — plus guest brews and homebrew — along with Hunahpu’s.

Bottles of Hunahpu’s go on sale until 3 p.m.

Cigar City has received so many questions about the event that they created a website for it. For all the information you need, visit Hunahpusday.com.
