(Find all of M.C.’s ongoing Valentine’s Day advice here.)
When you love someone … you can’t say it enough, can you? And when you’re married to someone for better or worse … what could be better than proclaiming your “I do’s” every Valentine’s day in an annual vow renewal to keep those love fires burning another year?

Valentine vow-renewers 2010 ... Sarasota Herald Tribune photo archive.
It’s something a gazillion people do every year on Siesta Beach … and it sure sounds romantic to me. And when you add in the fact that the vow renewal is held on one of the most gorgeous beaches in the WORLD … at SUNSET, no less, on Valentine’s Day, for crying out loud .. I mean, c’mon … that’s romance ne plus ultra!
It all happens at 6 pm on Monday, Feb. 14 at the Siesta Beach Pavilion on Siesta Key. Officiated by Judge Becky Titus with prizes awarded to longest married (a medal of valor, I presume) and to the newest newlyweds (a pair of matching muzzles to keep the peace in the years to come, perhaps?). Everyone receives a certificate and some yummy cake.
To participate this year, you have to pre-register by Feb. 11 at www.parksonline.scgov.net or call 861-7275.
